The invention can be used in the manufacture of modifiers of epoxy composites, microbicides with anti-HIV activity, not showing cytotoxicity, antioxidant additives in cosmetics. Fullerenol C60 is obtained by catalytic dehydration of glycerol with heating. As a catalyst, glucose, fullerene, fullerenol are used. The resulting reaction water, allyl alcohol and acrolein are distilled off. Dehydration is carried out until a solid black phase is formed and the volume of the reaction solution is reduced to 20-25% of the initial volume of glycerol. The formed fullerenol C60 is isolated from the reaction solution diluted with water in the form of a solution of sodium or ammonium salt by the addition of alkali or ammonia, and it is filtered from the synthesis by-product — water-insoluble carbon. The filtrate is acidified with sulfuric acid to pH 6.5, and the precipitated precipitate, which is fullerenol C60, is filtered off and washed with water from unreacted glycerol, residues of allyl alcohol, acrolein, sodium sulfate or ammonia formed during acidification. The dark brown filtered precipitate, which is C60 fullerenol, is dried at a temperature of 70-90 ° C. Further purification is carried out by recrystallization from alcohol. Fullerenol C60 is soluble in water and alcohol.

Description

The objective of the invention is to obtain fullerenol C60, used in the applied fields of nanotechnology, by a chemical method. In this method, fullerenol C60 can be obtained by the method of catalytic dehydration of glycerol.

The contribution of this invention to the state of the art is that catalytic dehydration produces glycerol C60, which is used in the applied fields of nanotechnology, in particular, as a modifier of epoxy composites, anti-HIV microbicides that do not exhibit cytotoxicity, the cost of which is at least 2 An order of magnitude less than fullerenol C60 obtained by the electric arc method from graphite.

This problem is solved by the fact that the proposed fullerenol C60, which is a carbon nanocluster soluble in water, alcohol and some other polar solvents, as a product of catalytic hyperaromatization and hypercyclization with the formation of carbon nanoclusters with a closed structure of glycerol dehydration products.
